Course Description: -

Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social care will help the learners to understand the life of vulnerable people and how the people in health and social care system are working hard to make a difference in the lives of these people. This is such a rewarding career in which a learner will improve socially and become more caring by simply doing his/her own job. This course is equivalent to the first year degree of university and help the learners to progress and complete their university degree.

  • Academic Study Skills
  • This unit will help the learners in understand and interpret the information critically. It also improves the ability of the learners to read and use appropriate literature with a full and critical understanding the ability to think independently and solve problems and in applying subject knowledge and understanding to address familiar and unfamiliar problems

  • Communication for Health and Social Care
  • This unit will improve and develop a learner’s capacity to give a clear and accurate account of a subject, assemble arguments in a mature way and engage in debate and dialogue both with specialists and non-specialists.

  • An Introduction to Healthcare Policy
  • This unit will develop learner’s skill to recognise the moral and ethical issues of health and social care practice and research; appreciating the need for ethical standards and professional codes of conduct. It also develops a sense of appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of health and social care service provision.

  • Reflective Practice
  • To develop transferable skills and knowledge.

  • Managing People in Health and Social Care
  • This unit help the learners to understand the circumstances, whether within their own area of employment, or through promotion to a supervisory or management position, or to adapt to changes in the health/social care environment. Learners will be able to motivate individuals to progress to further professional development through future study or as part of their chosen career.

  • Sociology Concepts in Health and Ill Health
  • Learners will understand the concept of health and ill health in relation to sociology.
